This was such a great tutorial! And what a wonderful idea for an ironing pad that you can easily use right where you are sewing. There's no need to break out the ironing board just for little jobs. It's especially wonderful if your sewing space is at your dining table (like mine is).
My ironing pad turned out a little bit different. The silver material came already padded and quilted to the padding so I didn't add any more padding. I also affixed the ribbon to the end of the pad so that I could roll it up yoga mat fashion if I wanted to.
The fabric on the outside is Amy Butler's Daisy Chain that I purchased while at Mary Jo's in Gastonia, NC.
