I have a pair of New-Mommy Warming Slippers (made with Amy Butler fabric) and new-Baby Booties. The booties should fit 6-12months and the slippers fit up to size 8. The mommy warming slippers are something new I'm making. The bottom of the slippers have pockets full of rice. So, just pop these babies in the micro and you've got some soft warming slippers.
It's kind of hard to see, but here's a picture of the warming pockets. If you're not the lucky winner, then make sure to come back after the contest when I hope to have up a tutorial for the warming slippers. I'll also be throwing in a few random sewing supplies...maybe some buttons or fat eighths. I haven't decided yet!
So, here's the yada yada:
1. Leave a comment telling me the kinds of things you enjoy seeing on the sewing blogs you visit or what you would do with the slippers if you won.
2. Facebook, blog or twitter about my giveaway and then come back and leave another comment telling me that you did so.
I would love for you to bookmark or follow me, but I won't make you do so in order to enter. :-)
This gives you up to TWO entries. Comments are open through December 6th and the winner will be chosen with a random number generator. Your item will be shipped no later than December 12th and I can't mail internationally (sorry). I will also tag your items with one of my boutique tags so that you can give them as a gift if you wish. Please make sure that you leave your email address in your comment or make sure that the comment links back to your blog. If I don't hear from you by the 12th then I will choose another winner.
One last thing is that the Mommy Warming Slippers pictured may not actually be the ones you receive, but they will be equally as cute! So, enter your little heart out and make sure to head back over to Sew Mama Sew to enter some other great giveaways!

ReplyDeleteSarah @ http://comeandseetheseitz.com
I like seeing pictures of other people's quilts, it gives me inspiration. I especially like if the quilts are colorful, scrappy or a little bit modern.
ReplyDeleteGreat idea with the warming slippers! With my poor circulation, these should be a boon to my cold feet this winter! Is it weird walking on rice though? Would like to try. And a pair for the newest grandbaby too...too cute!
ReplyDeleteI like to see quick gift ideas and twists to the traditional. I love the eye candy which is sure to inspire!
I love the warming booties!! I drive my husband crazy with my cold feet here in Micigan! These would be perfect! I am 'new' to sewing and would love to see a tutorial for them if I don't win! Thank you so much! Anna bonnema@charter.net

I'm now following, but I'm wondering if you have an etsy shop or something where you sell these slippers.
ReplyDeleteWow, I never thought to add those heating pockets to slippers! Genius! I love to see tutorials for ways to use up scraps and little bits of fabric, and also patterns and tutorials that use charm squares and jelly rolls!
ReplyDeleteVery cool booties! I like to read blogs to find new ideas for sewing for children and finding free patterns/tutorials. Thanks for the giveaway! alusco@centurytel.net
ReplyDeleteI'm following you :) and can't wait to visit again, I love to see anything on sewing blog, I'm very new to the craft!

I love those warming slippers. If I don't win them I'm going to make a pair. I always enjoy tutorials on blogs but I really just like reading about people's lives and what they sew for those around them.
ReplyDeleteWhat a cool idea!!! Now I have to go figure out how to make them--my husband may need some inserts for his felted wool slippers! So yes, please on the tutorial! This has been such fun--and I'm not going to consider it a waste of six hours(so far) but research for future projects!! Thanks so much for the chance to win!
ReplyDeleteSo cute! I love tutorials on sewing blogs - and stash pictures! lots of stash pictures!!!
ReplyDeleteMy sister just had a baby and I would give this beautiful gift to her.
ReplyDeleteGreat giveaway! The idea of adding rice to the slipers is fantastic, I can see this working well. I just lie on my heating pad now, but with these I could have a double whammy of relaxation. I look at sewing blogs for inspiration, great ideas (just like putting rice on the soles of slippers!) and I particularly enjoy the tutorials. Plus, more than often, the eyecandy of seeing beautiful things and the warming knowdledge that there are quite a few of us out there making things by hand, lovingly. The baby sleepers are way too small for my three year old, but I have a brand new two month old nephew, who would look oh so cute in those.
ReplyDeleteSewing tutorials are definitely my favorite part of the blogging world.
ReplyDeleteAnd the slippers? I'd wear them of course. I'm due in April, so something warm for my tired feet would be a welcome relief.
super great giveaway. I love seeing tutorials for quilt blocks, pillows and wreaths. well, those are the ones i have done this year anyway...so i must like them.

What a great idea!!
ReplyDeleteMy favorite part of sewing blogs are all the pictures!! I love seeing how people put different fabrics together, new ideas, and tutorials :)
Hey! Another Carolina Girl here (Lexington, SC). The slippers are darling. I'd have to give them away, though, because I'm an 8.5. However, I love all the tutorials out there on the blogs. I get so much energy and inspiration from reading what all the crafty girls blog about! You'll have to stop by my place, too, as I have a giveaway going on. -- michele
ReplyDeleteWow - I could totally use those babies! For real though, I would probably give them to my friend who is due in February. Thank you for the chance to win. I hope you have a wonderful Christmas. -dez

What a lovely giveaway! While I would want them for myself, my baby will be 1 next month, so I think I'd give the set to one of my pregnant friends (I have 5 friends expecting right now!). Oh, and on sewing blogs, I love to see lots of photos of completed projects as well as tutorials. Especially ones that can be given as gifts to boys/men - I find they are the hardest to sew for.
ReplyDeletei love pictures and sewing projects with tutorials...this is a great giveaway...please count me in

Those mommy warming slippers are a great idea! On sewing blogs, I most love tutorials, though I must admit that I get sucked in by the pictures, so good pictures of any FO are fun to look at too. (Which reminds me that I really need to work on my picture taking skills.)
ReplyDeleteThose mommy warming slippers are fantastic. I would like to say I would give them as a gift, which I may but I really would want to keep them. I am pregnant so those baby booties would be fabulous. In a sewing blog I love to find tutorials and try them out. Thanks for the chance to win.

Oh my gosh, those slippers sound heavenly! My sewing area is in the cold cold basement, and I have a microwave down there, so these would be wonderful!!!

What I like to see are tutorials and inspirations... color combos I would not have thought of and small simple projects that I would not have thought of!
ReplyDeleteThanks for the great giveaway!
Adorable! Thanks for being part of the giveaway. I'd wear the slippers all day and night! In an effort to be more environmentally friendly, we've set our thermostats to 68 for the winter. That's pretty chilly for this Texas gal! I prefer to roam the house in bare feet, but these days I'm wearing my running socks night and day. I usually only wear socks to run, so these slippers would be great!
ReplyDeleteI was JUST chatting with a friend about how great it would be if there were some sort of slippers that you could warm up like that! My feet are always freezing... I would wear these all the time :)
ReplyDeleteI like to see lots of photos, tutorials, links, and things like that on sewing blogs!
Thanks for the great giveaway!
My best friend is expecting in March and I'm already putting together a basket of essentials for her. So far, all the items are expressly for the baby - this would be the perfect thing for HER. Thanks for sharing!
ReplyDeleteOooooh! I think my Mom would LOVE those slippers! What a fantastic idea! I am really impressed, as I've never seen those before now! I love seeing great gift ideas on crafting blogs!
ReplyDeletejinglesells at gmail dot com
I would give the slippers to my cousin who is expecting in May. I also love seeing tutorials on sewing blogs

ReplyDeletei would give the slippers to a friend with all tile floors. brr!
ReplyDeleteI love to see stuff geared toward beginner sewers like me. Thanks for the opportunity to win!
ReplyDeleteI love the slippers. They would be perfect for my own sweet little bundle, and the ones in my size would be perfect as I pace around the house all night with my sweet bundle.
ReplyDeleteI love to see free tutorials and ideas to get me inspired to create. And I love step by step instructions, especially with pictures. I learn visually so reading a bunch of words doesn't always help.

What a great give Away. Thanks for the chance to win. I love reading about folks good and bad sewing experiences. We can all learn from others in so many ways!
ReplyDeleteIf you have time stop by my blog for a mystery Christmas apron give away :)
PS. You're in Greenville, SC so I have to ask - Gamecock or Tiger?
Such a great idea on the mommy slippers! They would probably be too small for me, but Grammy's been working pretty hard too since my little guy arrived, so she'd get them.
ReplyDeleteI love seeing lots of great pictures of things the blogger has made. It's such great inspiration.
greenville? wow, that is where my husband and I are thinking about retiring. was there in Oct and had dinner at Smoke on the Water and walked up and down the street looking at the shops. My feet are too large for the momma booties, and my grandson has probably outgrown the baby ones, but glad to find you anyway!!
ReplyDeleteHow awesome! I actually played with the idea of microwavable slippers several years ago, but never got around to finishing it. I was going to use two layers of cheap white socks (women's size on the inside, men's size on the outside). The whole the thing was a disaster. But yours are functional AND adorable!
ReplyDeleteAs much as I would love to keep these for myself I think I would have to give them to my mother. She recently moved to a colder climate from southern California. And even there she heated up her warming bean bag several times each night to keep herself toasty. Her husband even bought her a mini microwave to keep next to her bed so she wouldn't have to go downstairs in the middle of the night!
Oh, those slippers sound so cozy and comfortable! (As I sit here with cold toes...) What would I do with them? I would wear them all the time. We just went shoeless in our house, and are thinking we need to invest in some slippers if we're going to make it through this winter without frostbitten feet! :-)
ReplyDeleteThose are so cute! I would love to win them! I always look at other sewing blogs to see what everyone else is making. It's my way to brainstorm, find easier ways to do things and find out how to make some of the cool things everyone is making.
ReplyDeletefreda.messick(at)gmail(dot)com

ReplyDeleteI love, love tutorials! If someone has a great idea and wants to share, I love it. :) I would def. gift these to my friend who is due in Feb. She could warm up her toes in the hospital.
ReplyDeleteThanks for the giveaway!
I need to see tutorials on craft blogs. The more help to make something the better. Also items to be made at all levels of difficulty. Thank you so much for the chance to win.
